Farewell Elaine Caswell

                         It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Caswell in Regina, Saskatchewan on October 9, 2025. 

With an endlessly adventurous and spontaneous spirit Elaine was a woman of great class, dignity, and influence. As a career educator, she held many roles including as an inclusive education teacher, school counselor, district superintendent, and an executive director with the Ministry of Education. Elaine also flexed her entrepreneurial muscle, building a successful property management business in the Regina area. Among Elaine’s greatest passions was her volunteer work and employment with the Saskatchewan and Canadian Red Cross which included everything from visits to Canada’s northern communities assisting communities navigating suicide crises to working with evacuees from forest fires across Canada. Across her many careers, Elaine lived a life of service which left a legacy of countless changed lives.

Here at CCI South Saskatchewan she was a valued member of our Education Committee for almost 10 years and we will miss her wisdom, advice and encouragement.

An opportunity to remember Elaine and who she was will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025 in the Theatre Lobby at the Conexus Arts Centre, 200 Lakeshore Drive, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, gifts, and cards please make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross at https://www.redcross.ca.
