City of Regina – Multifamily Property Waste Management Engagement Session Invitation Part 2

CCI was not advised of this session or invited to attend until we asked to have a meeting with the Mayor concerning again the lack of consultation.
This is the situation as we understand the information, presented second hand:
- We understand that haulers are invited to attend.
- Our question is where are they going to take food waste as our understanding is that currently no facility exists?
- Not all condos were invited to attend.
- Condo owners were invited to attend but decisions are made by the Condo Board.
- Decisions are made by Condo Boards in self managed condos and Condo Boards were not invited to attend.
- In managed condos, the Property manager carries out the decision made by the Board who hired them.
- Why are residential condominium corporations, who pay taxes on their homes like single family homeowners, being excluded from the user pay service being provided to single family homeowners?
- We have been advised of a second session to be held virtually is to be held September 26,2024 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The link to that session is to be sent shortly.
- We have been advised that as part of the in-person event, Waste Services will also be going through the results of the survey sent out earlier this summer with follow up questions from us to better understand the responses we received. The last portion of the session will be more of an open question/answer time to focus on challenges, opportunities and possible solutions.
- Will the Survey results be shared?
